Nesly Clerge – The Anatomy of Cheating

The Anatomy of Cheating“Possessiveness isn’t love, taking a person for granted isn’t, either. Men like you and me have to learn what love isn’t before we learn what it is.”

Disclaimer: I received this book for free in exchange for a book review, it has in no way had any influence on my review.

Synopsis: Chelsea Hall is certain her husband is cheating. Again. But how far will a wife go when her adulterous husband pushes her to the edge? Some stop at the cliff’s edge. Others leap into the abyss. Garrett Hall wants what and who he wants. His detachment from their relationship leads Chelsea to seek what she needs elsewhere, and onto a path that leads to bliss. What begins as a dream-come-true soon becomes a nightmare when the line between who is innocent and who is guilty soon blurs. Until the horrifying truth becomes clear. And, the question becomes, who will survive?

Review: The story is really well written & I really liked it but there were just bits & pieces that I think could’ve been different. Firstly, in the beginning when all the characters are being introduced, it became very confusing to keep track of who’s who because there are so many characters that play an important part of the story. Although, as the chapters progressed it wasn’t a problem. Secondly, Luke was a good character & I did begin liking him & Chelsea together & making him the villain seemed a bit forced. Penelope was the bigger villain & she could’ve been the only one. The twists were interesting, even though Garrett cheating on Chelsea with her best friend, Penelope, was a very common twist in books but they played it off well. More than half the times I wanted to smack Penelope for being such a shitty best friend & Garrett for being so abusive. I would recommend the book!
